WestBridge Vocational continues to follow up on our Supported Employment and Project SEARCH clients after they complete the programs and gain employment. After the clients graduate from Project SEARCH, WestBridge Vocational continues to check up on past clients to see how they are doing and help them maintain employment. One of the clients, Luke, started working at the Jackson County Public Library during his rotation, was hired, and continues to work there today.

We continue to support our past clients.

Luke Burkhart – Jackson County Public Library

According to Allyson Coan, Supervisor of Adult Services, Luke is doing a fantastic job: “Luke started analyzing the call numbers of all the adult nonfiction circulated in 2022. Using the call numbers, Luke made detailed charts showing how many times items circulated in each subject heading. This information shows us what our patrons are most interest in and helps us determine where to order. Luke’s output for the project was more detailed and thorough than I thought was possible. I was thrilled with the charts he created, as was my boss. His work on the nonfiction circulation analysis and ongoing fiction analysis was outstanding, and he earned a promotion from Library Assistant I to Library Assistant II. Circulation analysis is a big part of his responsibilities, and he will also begin analyzing circulation stats for the other libraries. Luke’s work is critical for helping us make data-driven decisions. We are so grateful that he is a part of our team!”

We love successful outcomes.

We are so proud of Luke and his accomplishments. Luke’s journey at the Jackson County Library is truly something to celebrate. His hard work, creative ideas, and never-give-up attitude have improved the library. We’re super proud of all that Luke has accomplished, and we can’t wait to see what he will do next.
