Celebrating Success: The First Annual Fire Truck Pull

We are thrilled to share the remarkable success of the 2023 WestBridge Vocational Fire Truck Pull! This event occurred on May 13th, 2023, at the Smoky Mountain High School Track. It brought together teams of determined individuals, all driven by the common goal of supporting WestBridge’s mission of helping individuals facing barriers find competitive employment opportunities.

The Event:

The 2023 WestBridge Vocational Fire Truck Pull combined seven teams, each composed of ten individuals. Their challenge was to pull a “fully loaded” fire truck fifty feet in the fastest time possible. Watching the team’s determination and unwavering spirit throughout the competition was a remarkable sight.

And the Winner Is:

Farmhouse Mercantile and Coffee

Team of The Farmhouse Mercantile and Coffee

The victorious team was The Farmhouse Mercantile & Coffee Bar. The award was a $250 check from WestBridge Vocational to the winning team’s chosen nonprofit. The Farmhouse chose Operation Underground Railroad. Their mission is to rescue children from sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. The donation exemplifies the spirit of community and compassion at the event’s core.

Supporting WestBridge’s Mission:

The 2023 WestBridge Vocational Fire Truck Pull was more than a competition, it was an opportunity to rally together, supporting WestBridge’s mission to empower individuals with barriers and help them find competitive employment opportunities. We are proud to announce that the event raised approximately $9,000! This impressive achievement is a testament to the generosity and support of the sponsors, volunteers, spectators, and teams. If you would like to contribute to our mission please consider a donation.
